Instagram Contest: LSU Shreveport Wants to ‘Pic’ Up Your Tab!

The contest will run from Monday, April 8, 2013 to Friday, May 3, 2013. The winner of the contest will be announced Monday, May 6, 2013. So what’s the prize? If you successfully complete the rules below, you will be automatically entered to win a $200 gift card to the LSUS Bookstore!

The official rules to be entered to win are as follows:

You must be a current student, or planning to attend LSU Shreveport for the Fall 2013 semester. If you are not a current student, you must be registered for classes by August 19.

You must tag all photos with #LSUSPicMe and @lsushreveport so we can find you!

You must be following @lsushreveport on Instagram.

(This part is important!) Weekly, the @lsushreveport Instagram account will post the theme of the required photo of the week. While meeting themes is important to be entered to win, we’re also going to look at what you put in your caption, so have some fun with it!

The contest begins Monday, April 8 and runs until Friday, May 3.

The winner will be officially announced Monday, May 6 via @lsushreveport on Instagram and your photos will be shared via the account.

By participating in this contest, you grant LSU Shreveport the right to use your photos publicly with proper accreditation, whether it is to share on Instagram via the @lsushreveport account, use on other social networking sites (such as Facebook and Twitter), or for other promotions via LSU Shreveport. (Ok, you know that would be so cool if your photo made it to the front page of the LSU Shreveport website!)

Tribeca Film Festival’s #6SecFilms Vine Competition

Tribeca Film Festival excited about Vine and they want to explore what’s possible for the new app. So they challenging you to make #6SecFilms on Vine to be judged by an illustrious jury.

Here’s how it works: Vine creators will make as many Vines as they want in any of the following categories: #GENRE, #AUTEUR, #ANIMATE, or #SERIES (see details below), and our team of jurors will choose their favorites from a shortlist we share on the site. (More jury details to come, but we’re excited to share that our jury panel already includes actor Adam “The King of Vine” Goldberg and Director Penny Marshall!)
